Do you have a subluxation?

Over the last few weeks we have been blessed with some amazing weather. However, some of us have been dealing with a lingering viral infection that feels like cold symptoms:

Cough, congestion, low energy… seem familiar?

Perhaps you are experiencing neck or back pain, specifically behind the shoulder blade or in the hip flexor, even sciatica symptoms. Clinically, I have treated hundreds of patients with these lingering ailments. Yes a mechanical problem exists, we call it Somatic Subluxation. However, I have seen underlying dysfunction coming from other systems making the problem much worse and last longer, we call this Visceral Subluxation.

Schedule today for a consultation to find out which is causing your health concern!

Cari's Perspective, 10-Minute/30-day Challenge

In planning out the 10-minute, 30-day challenge with Dr. John, I got started on Jan. 31 so I'm on day 9 and I can tell you I feel so much better! The first thing I noticed was an increase in energy both physically and emotionally. I have so much more energy throughout the day and I feel better about myself.

I generally get up in the morning before the rest of my family and work out for 10 minutes on my elliptical. (Up until now it had been a very expensive clothes rack!) I also recently purchased a few exercise DVDs that claim to have 10-20 minute workouts on them. I haven't tried them yet but I will let you know how they go.

When I work out on the elliptical, I try to go as hard as I can but still be able to finish the ten minutes. I've been gauging myself as far as distance to be sure I haven't dropped down in speed and I try to go 1/10th of a mile farther each day as a personal challenge. Some days I make it and some I don't but I've always managed to do the 10 minutes.

I have also been doing about 5-6 different variations of abdominal crunches in sets of 10 each day. I'll tell you, my sides were angry at me after the first few days but they aren't sore now. And I did 2 more sets this morning, bringing a total of 8 sets of 10 crunches!

I feel so much stronger, more energetic and more capable of doing things. I know you can find 10 minutes in your day to do a workout. I encourage you to do it and feel so much better! Let us know how you are doing.

Stress Reduction - Two techniques

Stress is part of a conditioned negative pattern in the brain. Several things contribute to negative sympathetic stress:

1. Trauma, Pain
2. Negative thoughts, emotions
3. Toxins
4. Lack of movement, exercise
5. Sugar

The following are two of the many ways you can reduce your stress levels.

1. NET (Neuro-Emotional Technique)

NET provides a fast, effective means of stopping the negative conditioned pattern. Computer-drafted SPECT scans that measure metabolic activity, show a 50% or greater reduction of metabolic activity of the areas of brain associated with stress within minutes after a Neuro-Emotional Component clearing.

2. Breathing Techniques

Yogi breathing - by concentrating on the breath and calming the mind to focus on slow rhythmic breathing, you allow your body the opportunity to reset the stress patterns in the brain.

Cover left nostril, breathe in through the right, cover the opposite and breathe out through the left. Then breathe in through the left and out through the right. Continue this for 3-5 minutes with long slow deep breaths.

If you ever find yourself feeling isolated or stuck at the bottom of a pit or feeling that the world is against you, call out for help. Sometimes we just need a hand to get us back up on our feet.
